1.
ABBY—age
6, b/w, spayed. A very sweet & pretty gal who will be a great
companion to a single adult, a couple, or a family with older
children, as long as she is the only dog and the family is able
to maintain her medication for Addison’s Disease. Currently
with breeder in MA.
2.
*ANNIE-age
4, l/w, spayed. Annie, like the above Abby, needs to be in
an adult, single dog home. She loves to retrieve, is used to
running on a large property and comes when called but is very
protective of her owners. Currently with owner in PA.
3.
BAXTER—age
8, b/w, neutered.
Baxter can be a very loving and energetic dog, he needs an adult
home who can understand his needs; primarily his dislike of
being grabbed by the collar, and his fears and
possessiveness especially in dim lighting. He is used to living
with a cat and another dog. (NY)
4. CASEY—age
11, l/w. Currently in the foster care of Gini Titterton in NY
after being on the streets of NJ and then in the Bergen County
Shelter. He has been receiving some much needed medical care
and lots of love, and has adapted very well to his foster home.
5.
CHICKY—age
4, l/w, spayed. This young adult female has been living in her
owners backyard for the past year and would do best with an
adult family willing to devote time to her and understand her
need for socialization, exercise, and some basic training.
Currently with family in NJ.
6.
COOPER—age
6-7, l/w, neutered. Cooper had been in at least 3 homes before
coming to Barbara and Kevin Czarzasty for foster care more than
a year ago. Cooper is a loving fellow who would love a family
of his own. He is hard of hearing due to previously untreated
ear infections. He can live with other dogs as long as he is
fed separately. He is even good with chickens but can suffer
from some separation anxiety. Having Cooper for so long,
Barbara can tell a prospective home everything they need to know
to make the decision if Cooper is to be the chosen one to join
their family. (CT)
7. DUNCAN—age
2-3, b/w, neutered. Duncan is a friendly happy fellow who does
not particularly like larger dogs and has no experience with
cats. He can be possessive of his toys. His current owner is
working very long hours and though he loves the dog, he realizes
he is not able to devote enough time to Duncan who so very much
wants attention and exercise. (NY)
8. KELLY—age
2-3, l/w,
spayed. Kelly is a pretty young lady who loves kids, running
and playing. She cannot live with another female dog. Kelly
really enjoys exercise and should be with a family that have a
large fenced in yard for her to enjoy running in, she is not
used to being walked on a leash. Currently with owner on Long
Island.
9.
MOE MAXAMILLION—age
2, l/w,.
This big young fellow is good with other dogs and cats and quite
playful. He enjoys car rides but not being grabbed by the
collar. Moe would benefit from some additional training,
lots of exercise and an adult home. (NY)
13.
MILLIE—age
13, l/w, spayed. This sweet senior was first placed into Rescue
in 2000 by a loving, concerned owner who was in the Navy and had
to move. Adopted by a young couple, she was given to
"grandparents" after the birth of their first child. Now she
was returned and the couple with two young children have neither
the time nor the financial resources to meet her needs.
14.
SCOOTER—age
4, b/w, neutered.
Scooter is generally a loving, sweet fellow but not trained to
allow people to enter his home. He also suffers from some
separation anxiety especially if left alone for very long
periods of time. (NJ)
15. SOPHIA
& SAMANTHA—ages
11 & 9, l/w, spayed. This is a
mother/daughter duo who have lived with their family their whole
lives. Both gals were raised with kids and grandkids but have
had no experiences with cats or other dogs. The family has
always and still do love these two gentle souls but
circumstances have caused them to need to rehome the girls.
(Hamden, NY)

Please excuse any delay in our response, as there
are many links in this organization (all over-worked
and unpaid), and we are usually overwhelmed with
activities ... housebreaking, trips to the vet,
phone calls, printing newsletters, etc.
