1.
BAXTER—age
8, b/w, neutered.
Baxter can be a very loving and energetic dog, he needs an adult
home who can understand his needs; primarily his dislike of
being grabbed by the collar, and his fears and
possessiveness especially in dim lighting. He is used to
living with a cat and another dog. (NY)
2.
CASEY—age
11, l/w. Currently in the foster care of Gini Titterton in NY
after being on the streets of NJ and then in the Bergen County
Shelter. He has been receiving some much needed medical care
and lots of love, and has adapted very well to his foster home.
3.
*COCOA—age
2, L/W. - Spayed.
Cocoa is a sweet gal until it comes to sharing her space with
new fur housemates. Severe weather, such as thunderstorms, does
not help matters. She would do best with Springer savvy adult
owners that had the time to integrate her into the family,
preferably a family without young children or other dogs. (With
the owner in NJ)
4.
*DAKOTA—age
5, b/w,
neutered. Dakota is a loving, sweet, big fellow who enjoys
being with children and other dogs but has no experience with
cats. Owner describes him as an energetic playful fellow. He
is very trainable, as he has learned not to run off his property
even as he herds the deer and flushes the turkey out of his
yard. When inside, he loves to be able to survey his
surroundings. He’s an outdoor fellow that doesn’t believe large
bodies of water are safe, nor is swimming a safe past time. He
is allergic to foods with wheat. Owner must move to a small
apt. that will not accept pets to be near medical treatment .
(PA, soon to be in foster in CT)
5.
EMMA—age
1, l/w,
spayed. Emma has been with her family since a young pup, and
has grown up with older large dogs. She has recently decided
she wants to be #1 with her human mom and will aggressively keep
the other dogs away. Emma loves people and enjoys car rides and
toys, she knows some commands and listens well. An adult home
would be ideal. (NY)
6.
GINGER—age
6, l/w,
spayed. Ginger is a good natured, affectionate dog who loves to
run and play – no water sports, thank you. The owners have a
new baby, and no longer have the time to devote to her. She is
crated for long periods of time, which they feel is truly unfair
to a wonderful companion. (PA)
7.
LINUS—age
8-11, L/W, Neutered.
Linus is a senior guy living with a senior couple. His medical
issues have gotten a bit ahead of his owners capabilities. For
the 4 years they’ve had him (from a shelter) he’s been very good
with the visiting Grandchildren. He is good with other dogs.
Meds are simple – thyroid, Rimadyl, and Predisone. (With owners
on Long Island)
8.
LUCKY—age
8, b/w, spayed. Lucky is an energetic adult who would do best
with an adult person or couple, being an only dog as she can be
possessive of any food. It would be best if an owner had prior
experience with a smart & dominant female Springer. Currently
with owner in PA.
9.
MOLLY—age
9, b/w, spayed.
Molly has been with her owners since she was 8 weeks old. She
loves her stuffed toys and often has one in her mouth, she walks
well on leash and can be off leash as she responds well to a
whistle to come. She is used to a fenced in yard. She can be
protective of her family, strangers should not approach her, but
if ignored for a few minutes she will approach them in a
friendly manner. Owners fear that as Molly is getting older she
may not be as tolerable of grandchildren who play too roughly
with her. Currently with owners in NJ.
10.
SANTIAGO—age
8, L/W, Neutered. Santiago is an
urban Boston boy. He is the special friend & companion of a
gentleman whose health has become worse. Santiago has become
very protective of Dad, feeling overwhelmed in his companion
duties, and that Dad can no longer walk and spoil him. Santiago
needs a mature family; one that can redirect his energy and give
him a new purpose in life. Currently with Dad in Boston.
11. SOPHIA
& SAMANTHA—ages
11 & 9, l/w, spayed. This is a
mother/daughter duo who have lived with their family their whole
lives. Both gals were raised with kids and grandkids but have
had no experiences with cats or other dogs. The family has
always and still do love these two gentle souls but
circumstances have caused them to need to rehome the girls.
(Hamden, NY)
12.
TESSA—age
7, b/w, spayed. Tessa is a sweet,
affectionate dog who loves car rides and walks well on leash.
She is possessive of her food and that has caused numerous
problems between her and another dog in her home. Tessa would
be very happy in an adult home as an only dog. Currently with
owner in PA.
WE CONTINUE TO NEED

Please excuse any delay in our response, as there
are many links in this organization (all over-worked
and unpaid), and we are usually overwhelmed with
activities ... housebreaking, trips to the vet,
phone calls, printing newsletters, etc.
